Marek Harbaczewski

Marek Harbaczewski – choreographer, educator, folklorist, and cultural animator. Artistic director of the Regional Ensemble MOGILANIE. Lecturer at Qualification Courses for Dance Instructors in Bielsko-Biała and Kraków, as well as at the Folklore Studies Program for folk group instructors in Nowy Sącz. Between 2008 and 2016, he collaborated as a lecturer with the Stanisław Wyspiański Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków – Faculty of Dance Theatre in Bytom. In 2023, he was a lecturer in the MASTER OF DANCE program organized by the National Institute of Music and Dance, focusing on the dance folklore of the Western Krakowiaks. A long-time collaborator and student of Janina Kalicińska. From 2014 to 2021, he worked at the Małopolska Cultural Centre SOKÓŁ in Nowy Sącz as Chief Specialist for Folk Dance. He has a particular interest in the Kraków region (Eastern and Western Krakowiaks). A member of numerous festival and folklore review juries. Promoter and lover of traditional culture.

Monika Dudek

Director of the Seweryn Udziela Ethnographic Museum in Kraków. An ethnologist, singer, choreographer, and passionate advocate of Polish musical folklore. She has honed her 30 years of dance and vocal practice through training in instruction, choreography, and traditional white voice singing. She conducts field research on musical traditions and folklore. A juror at folklore festivals and competitions dedicated to tradition. For the past 15 years, she has led vocal and dance groups, initiating and nurturing women's communities rooted in local traditions and a shared love of singing. In 2013 and 2020, she was awarded a scholarship by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for documenting traditional folk songs in the Krzeszowice municipality. Her most recent scholarship project, River of Songs, featured recordings made at home and in nature, shared with the public during the pandemic.

Wiesława Hazuka

Choreographer, educator, and expert of the Polish section of CIOFF (International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Art). A specialist in traditional dance and the dance folklore of Eastern and Western Krakowiaks. Lecturer at qualification courses for dance instructors in Kraków, Warsaw, and Rzeszów, as well as at seminars and folklore study programs organized by the Central Advisory Center for Amateur Artistic Movement (CPARA) and the Małopolska Cultural Centre SOKÓŁ in Nowy Sącz. A highly respected juror at regional, provincial, national, and international folklore festivals and reviews. She has shared her knowledge and experience through numerous courses and workshops for folk dance instructors both in Poland and abroad. Author of many choreographies for ensembles in Poland and abroad (Canada, USA, Switzerland, Belgium, France, Czech Republic). Long-time artistic director and choreographer of the Song and Dance Ensembles SOBÓTKA from Tarnów, MAŁOPOLSKA from Dębica, and ŚWIERCZKOWIACY from Tarnów.

Aleksander Smaga

Instrumental musician, professionally associated for 20 years with the Małopolska Cultural Centre SOKÓŁ in Nowy Sącz, where he serves as Chief Specialist for Music. Consultant in the field of traditional musical culture of the Małopolska region, music folklore documentarian, and curator of the archival phonographic collections at MCK SOKÓŁ. Cultural animator and head of four editions of the two-year FOLKLORE STUDY PROGRAM for folk group instructors (2014–2016). Organizer of the DRUZBACKA Competition for Folk Musicians, Instrumentalists, Singers, and Wedding Masters in Podegrodzie (since 2006). Originator and coordinator of the Małopolska Workshops for Sound Engineers—advanced training in audio production (2011–2019). Organizer of the Heligonka Players Competition of the Małopolskie Voivodeship in Mordarka (since 2018), the THEATRICAL GATHERINGS in the Orawa region (since 2022), and the Interprovincial Meeting of Village Theatre Groups in Bukowina Tatrzańska (since 2020). Juror of numerous regional, provincial, and national reviews and competitions.

dr ŁUKASZ ZAPAŁA

Employee of the Research and Collection Development Department at the Małopolska Cultural Centre SOKÓŁ in Nowy Sącz – Institute of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Carpathian Peoples in Ludźmierz. Graduate of the Jagiellonian University with a degree in Polish Comparative Philology. He earned his PhD in the humanities in the field of linguistics through a doctoral dissertation conducted at the Institute of the Polish Language of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Kraków. Author of scholarly articles published in journals such as Gwary dziś and Perspektywy Kultury. His research interests include descriptive dialectology, dialectal lexicology, and sociolinguistics. He focuses in particular on the transformations of spoken Polish in rural areas, as well as on folk beliefs and rituals. Since 2017, he has collaborated with the Board of Education in Kraków in organizing the "GÓRALSKIE CYTANIE" Provincial Reading and Art Competition, where he serves as coordinator and long-standing jury member.
